Career opportunities are numerous for graduates of Global Studies. Professions increasingly demand global understanding and expertise, cross-cultural skills, and the ability to take on interdisciplinary work across boundaries. People trained in the Global Studies have multiple advantages over those trained in a single discipline.

Through the Global Studies major, students aLehigh University Global Studies - Sao Paulo DHcquire a solid grounding in global affairs and an understanding of contemporary cultural, historical, political and social dynamics. They engage in problem solving across boundaries and cultures. They are able to assess information from a comparative perspective. They are effective communicators who can argue and defend complex views in writing (such as through policy and research papers) and public speaking (through individual and group presentations) to diverse audiences. Studies show that in terms of future earnings potential, liberal arts degrees like ours are a very good investment.

Lehigh’s Global Studies graduates pursue a wide array of careers. On the business side, these include communications and marketing, finance, management consulting, and media. On the non-profit and public service side, they include education, international development, policy research, and public health.
